2007
Team Challenge Schedule
What's
a Team Challenge?
For
adult players of all levels. Youth players, 3.0 and higher, may also play
space permitting and as determined by the club pro. Primarily for members
(free), but guests may also be invited, space permitting ($5 guest fee
applies). Most matches will be doubles, but some might be singles. You'll
always play against even competition.
Here's
how we ensure close matches. Each player is matched against an opponent
of similar playing strength. You compete against that opponent throughout
the morning, while pairing up with different doubles partners.
Mini-matches
at 9:00, 10:00, 11:15, and 12:15. Please arrive by 8:45 AM to warm up,
as the matches begin promptly. The entire event should be completed by
1:30 PM at the latest, so eat a hearty breakfast or bring a light lunch.
Sign
up for one, two, or three mini-matches (8 game pro-sets) by contacting
Russ Carrington at 301-475-3390. Please sign up no later than the Saturday
before the event, as the matches will be finalized on Sunday
4th
of July Adult Team Challenge: Redcoats versus Bluecoats (Wed., July 4,
2007)
Last
year, it was billed as a reenactment of the Revolutionary War, with the
Redcoats squaring off against the Bluecoats. Unfortunately, there was
too much Bunker Hill and not enough Yorktown as the Redcoats smashed the
Bluecoats, 9 matches to 3.
Will
the Bluecoats get revenge in 2006? Only if you sign up!
