2006 Fall Grand Prix at Breton Bay

WHAT IT IS: The Fall season emphasizes the strokes and strategies of Doubles. The format combines instruction with match play. Players play tennis matches on the days when they’re available, against even competition. The Tournament Director schedules your matches, and ensures all matches are supervised.

WHO IT’S FOR: Players who can serve and play matches, from beginners to experts. High School players graduating in 2007 are eligible. There is no younger age limit. Players will only play players of their own skill levels. Non-members may play, space permitting. All matches are scheduled by the Commissioner, Russ Carrington.

WHAT’S INCLUDED: Match play on Sunday afternoons/evenings, after 4:30 PM, through October 29. In the event of rain cancellations or conflict with Redskin games, other days may be added or time may be moved to 2:00 PM. Included in the fee is $60 worth of lessons (six $10 group lessons, two $30 individual lessons, or any combination thereof).

COST: $100 members, $125 nonmembers. Cost covers play dates as well as instruction.

HOW TO REGISTER: Fill out the registration form, which may also be found at our website, and mail or deliver to: Russ Carrington, 22381 Armstrong Dr., Leonardtown, MD, 20650. For questions or to confirm your registration, contact Russ.

IMPORTANT RULES: Always let Russ know at least one day ahead of time whether you will be attending. That way, we can be sure we have the right number of players. Please let him know each week by either calling or emailing. If you just tell him at the courts, he might forget.
